Position Summary: Senior Java Developer
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer for a high-impact, 100% onsite role in Beachwood, OH. This position is specifically targeted at local candidates who can contribute to the development and optimization of enterprise-level digital solutions. The role focuses heavily on backend development using the Spring Boot framework and event-driven architectures powered by Apache Kafka. You will be working at a premier corporate location (1000 Eaton Blvd), engaging with complex systems that require high availability and seamless integration.
Core Technical Competencies
The successful applicant will demonstrate deep technical knowledge in the following areas:
- Java & Spring: Expert proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework for building scalable microservices.
- Messaging & Streaming: Hands-on experience with the Confluent/Apache Kafka platform, including Schema Registry, clusters, topics, and partitions.
- API Development: Extensive experience integrating systems via REST, SOAP, JDBC, and JSON.
- Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.
- Scripting: Proficiency in Javascript, Groovy, or Python to support automation and deployment scripts.
- Security: Solid understanding of OAUTH, SSL, and Basic Authentication protocols.
Responsibilities and Workflow
As a Senior Developer, you will be expected to:
- Design and implement event-driven architectures and pub/sub patterns to handle high-volume data streams.
- Utilize Design Patterns effectively to ensure code quality and adherence to industry standards.
- Work within both Waterfall and Agile Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC).
- Collaborate with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy for incident and change management.
- Develop and maintain deployment scripts to streamline the release process.
- Provide excellent problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical challenges in a multi-tiered environment.
This 6-month contract requires a professional with 6-8 years of experience who is comfortable working in a strictly onsite environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this collaborative team setting.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $130,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)
