Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer for a high-impact project based in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is an onsite position that requires a candidate with a robust technical background and the ability to participate in mandatory in-person client interviews. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex, high-performance web applications using the latest Java and Angular technologies. This role is ideal for a seasoned developer who thrives in an Agile environment and has a deep understanding of microservices architecture and reactive programming.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable microservices using Java 11/17 and the Spring Boot framework.
  • Implement reactive programming patterns using Spring WebFlux to ensure high application responsiveness and scalability.
  • Build dynamic and responsive user interfaces using Angular 11+ (preferably versions 13-16), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate them with various backend services and databases.
  • Utilize Python for scripting, data processing, and automation tasks as required by the project.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality software through continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Participate in rigorous code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and performance of applications by following industry best practices and organizational standards.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development.
  • At least 7 years of experience working specifically with Java 11 or higher.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with Python development.
  • Strong expertise in Java Reactive Programming and the Spring Framework ecosystem.
  • Proficiency in modern frontend technologies, specifically Angular, TypeScript, and CSS preprocessors.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and deploying microservices in a cloud-native environment.
  • Familiarity with Hibernate, SOAP/REST web services, and functional programming concepts.
  • Previous experience in the Cards & Payments domain is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Work Environment and Expectations

This role is based in the financial hub of Charlotte, NC, and requires the candidate to be local or willing to relocate for in-person interviews and daily onsite work. The project environment is fast-paced and demands excellent communication and collaboration skills. As a senior developer, you will be expected to take ownership of complex modules and contribute to the overall architectural direction of the project. The Cards & Payments domain requires a high level of precision and attention to detail, as the applications handle sensitive financial transactions and data. Compensation & Location

Salary: $140,000 – $190,000 per year
