Job Title: Sr. Net Developer
Location: 2 N. Meridian St. Indianapolis IN, 46204
Employment Type: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing applications at IDOH and build new web applications.
- Work with project managers, other developers, business analysts, and functional team members on project activities.
- Participate in full development lifecycle including requirements analysis and design.
- Work with technical and functional staff on detailed business requirements, understanding business processes and technology, agency standards, federal and state policies to align with projects goals.
- Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
- Use object-oriented techniques and best practices for design, development, unit testing, and deployment.
- Develop code along with unit testing strategy & plans.
- Use Microsoft .NET Framework and a supported MVC framework, C# programming language for application development.
- Work with Project Manager to ensure project plan is maintained and project milestones are being met.
- Work with PM, technical staff, and end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet application needs.
- Ability to work independently with less guidance and work with ISDH externals partners as needed.
- Take agency web applications architecture and business decisions into consideration for design.
- Ability to work independently and under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment.
EDI Experience (Nice to have but not required):
- Performing requirements analysis, documenting, and communicating the results to EDI team and program team.
- Ensure accurate and appropriate file exchanges with external trading partners and resolve EDI data transmission conflicts.
- Provide helpdesk level support for EDI claim transactions.
Skills Required:
- Current working experience with ASP.NET: 10 Years
- Current working experience with C#: 5 Years
- Current working experience with MVC: 5 Years
- Work experience in analysis and addressing security related issues for applications built in multiple languages: 5 Years
- Working experience with Oracle SQL: 5 Years
- Current working experience with Web Services
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to solve complex programming issues
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related fields with IT experience
Skills Nice to have:
- Understanding EDI file formats
- Experience in Health Industry (Highly desired)
Special Requirements
Candidate must be local to Indianapolis. Initial technical interview will be via Teams. Final interview will be via Teams or in person. Hybrid work model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year
