Key Responsibilities:

  • 12+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and support.
  • Design, configure, and deploy enterprise-grade Cisco routing, switching, SD-WAN (Viptela/Fortinet), and wireless solutions.
  • Administer and manage secure network connectivity in Microsoft Azure, including VNet peering, VPN gateways, and ExpressRoute.
  • Perform expert-level administration of Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco ASA/Firepower, and Palo Alto firewalls, including policy management, NAT, and threat prevention.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Cisco/Meraki and Fortinet network devices, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Act as a top-tier escalation point for complex network outages using tools such as Wireshark and NetFlow to resolve BGP, OSPF, and VPN issues.
  • Monitor network performance, capacity planning, and ensure compliance with security standards (PCI, HIPAA).
  • Oversee WAN and LAN infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Implement and support secure wireless network solutions.
  • Perform advanced network troubleshooting to quickly identify and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network projects and initiatives.
  • Continuously monitor network performance and security posture, implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, IPAM, processes, and procedures.
  • Stay updated with latest networking technologies and industry trends.
  • Demonstrate strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools such as Python and Ansible for network automation and efficiency.

Top Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of Cisco & Fortinet/FortiGate hardware and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS)
  • Extensive experience with SD-WAN (Viptela/Fortinet) and Cisco/Fortinet wireless architectures
  • Expertise in Fortinet (NSE 48), Palo Alto (PCNSE), Cisco ASA/Firepower, and VPN technologies
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Azure Virtual Networking
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills

Compensation & Location

Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Beachwood, OH
