Position Summary: Senior Network Engineer
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Network Engineer for a 6-month contract position based in Dallas, TX. This is a 100% onsite role requiring a professional with extensive experience in managing and troubleshooting large-scale Data Center and WAN environments. The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical understanding of modern networking protocols and hardware, with the ability to resolve complex connectivity issues in a high-pressure enterprise setting. This role is specifically open to H1B candidates on a C2C basis.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level network troubleshooting and support for large-scale Data Centers and global WAN environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust network architectures involving Routing, Switching, and Wireless technologies.
- Manage and optimize network security infrastructure, including Firewalls and VPN tunnels.
- Configure and support Load Balancers to ensure high availability and performance of critical applications.
- Administer DDI services, including DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM).
- Implement and troubleshoot advanced networking technologies such as VXLAN and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
- Perform regular network performance monitoring and capacity planning to ensure scalability.
- Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures for internal knowledge sharing.
Technical Skill Requirements
- Extensive experience with enterprise-grade routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP).
- Hands-on experience with major networking hardware vendors (e.g., Cisco, Arista, Juniper).
- Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise wireless networks.
- Strong knowledge of network security principles and hands-on experience with Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW).
- Familiarity with Data Center virtualization and overlay technologies like VXLAN.
- Solid understanding of network services including DNS, DHCP, and Load Balancing (F5, Citrix ADC).
- Ability to use network diagnostic tools and packet sniffers (Wireshark) for deep-dive analysis.
Work Environment and Expectations
This role is located in Dallas, TX, and requires 100% onsite presence. The candidate must be prepared to work within a fast-paced environment where uptime is critical. The project duration is initially 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs. Candidates must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Special Requirements
