Job Description: Sr Power BI Developer (100% Remote)
Diverselynx is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Power BI Developer for an urgent contract position. This role is fully remote and requires a strong background in developing and deploying Power BI solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop visually rich reports, KPI scorecards, and interactive dashboards using Power BI Desktop.
- Connect to various data sources, import data, and perform data transformations to support business intelligence initiatives.
- Deploy and publish dashboards across multiple environments, ensuring seamless integration and accessibility.
- Apply analytical thinking to translate complex data sets into informative and actionable reports and visuals.
- Implement row-level security (RLS) on data models to ensure data privacy and access control.
- Understand and apply application security layer models within Power BI.
- Write and optimize DAX queries for efficient data retrieval and analysis in Power BI Desktop.
- Utilize advanced-level calculations on data sets to derive meaningful insights.
- Adhere to design methodologies and best practices in Power BI development.
- Develop and maintain tabular and multidimensional models compatible with data warehouse standards.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions.
- Perform administrative tasks related to Power BI, including user management, gateway configuration, and performance tuning.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Sr Power BI Developer.
- Expertise in developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI Desktop.
- Strong experience in connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for BI.
- Demonstrated experience in deploying and publishing dashboards in multiple environments.
- Excellent analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals.
- Proficiency in implementing row-level security (RLS) on data.
- Solid understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
- Advanced skills in writing DAX queries in Power BI Desktop.
- Ability to use advanced-level calculations on the data set.
- Experience with design methodology.
- Experience developing tabular and multidimensional models compatible with data warehouse standards.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to discuss and understand requirements effectively.
- Must have experience in the admin work of Power BI.
