Job Description: Sr QE and Performance Automation Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr QE and Performance Automation Engineer to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. This is an onsite role at our client’s location, with a duration of 12+ months. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance engineering, core Java, JMeter, Selenium, Selenium WebDriver, and Typescript.

About the Role:
This position is for a Senior Quality Engineer and Performance Automation Engineer based in the Bay Area. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and executing performance tests to ensure the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of our applications. You will work closely with development teams to identify performance bottlenecks and provide actionable insights for optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive performance testing strategies and test plans.
- Develop and maintain automated performance test scripts using JMeter and other relevant tools.
- Execute performance tests, analyze results, and identify performance issues and bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance-related defects.
- Provide detailed performance test reports with clear recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest performance testing tools and methodologies.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of performance testing processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and Performance Testing.
- Proven experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
- Strong programming skills in Core Java.
- Proficiency in automation tools like Selenium and Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience with Typescript is a plus.
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Must be a local candidate to Sunnyvale, CA.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
