Role: Sr. Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Full stack Engineer
This is a remote contract role with a duration of 6+ months, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Developer. The primary focus is on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and robust e-commerce solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SFCC development, a comprehensive understanding of e-commerce processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize features within the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform, including integrations with third-party services and tools.
- Build reusable components and modules for efficiency and scalability.
- Design and implement solutions using SFCC’s ISML, scripts, pipelines, and APIs.
- Configure and maintain SFCC Business Manager settings, including catalogs, products, promotions, and storefront configurations.
- Manage and enhance site performance, including caching strategies and monitoring site behavior.
- Integrate third-party systems (e.g., payment gateways, shipping solutions, analytics tools) with SFCC via REST or SOAP APIs.
- Develop middleware and web services to ensure seamless data exchange between SFCC and other platforms (ERP, CRM, OMS).
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement responsive and user-friendly storefront designs.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Debug issues and provide quick resolutions for production incidents.
- Ensure that the solutions adhere to security and compliance standards, including GDPR, CCPA, and PCI DSS.
- Implement best practices for secure coding and data protection.
- Stay updated with SFCC’s latest features, tools, and best practices.
- Optimize and refactor existing codebases for performance and maintainability.
Required Skills and Expertise:
- 10+ years of experience in developing and managing Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) storefronts.
- Strong proficiency in SFCC Script, ISML templates, and pipeline architecture.
- Experience with SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture).
- Expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related front-end technologies.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and integration patterns.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Experience with job scheduling and cartridge management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
- Knowledge of Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience with performance optimization techniques (e.g., caching, image optimization).
- Familiarity with other Salesforce products, such as Marketing Cloud or Service Cloud, is a plus.
This role requires a candidate with a strong technical background in SFCC development and a passion for building cutting-edge e-commerce experiences.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
