Role Overview
The Senior Salesforce Developer (Software Engineer 3) is a high-impact technical role responsible for the design, development, and delivery of sophisticated software solutions within a fast-paced Agile Scrum environment. This position is based in Austin, TX, and operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring a professional who can balance independent technical execution with collaborative team engagement. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will be expected to possess deep hands-on expertise in the Salesforce ecosystem, a comprehensive understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and the ability to manage complex technical tasks with minimal supervision. You will work closely with product owners, end-users, and cross-functional technical teams to analyze business requirements and architect scalable, high-performance solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, system flows, and data usage to design and implement robust software solutions.
- Develop custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Utilize Salesforce declarative tools such as Flows, Process Builder, and Workflow Rules to automate complex business processes.
- Participate actively in all Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical specifications, system standards, and documentation for all developed solutions.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues across multiple environments, including production support.
- Design and implement secure integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and OAuth authentication protocols.
- Perform rigorous peer code reviews, unit testing, and performance optimization to ensure high-quality code delivery.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes to streamline build and deployment activities.
- Create and maintain custom Salesforce reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to coding standards, version control best practices, and change management processes.
Required Technical Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development, specifically with Apex, Triggers, and LWC.
- 8+ years of experience with Salesforce configurations, including advanced Flows and Process Builder.
- Extensive background in the full SDLC, including version control systems and change management protocols.
- Proven ability to assess Salesforce architecture and deliver secure, high-performance solutions on the Force.com platform.
- Experience with Salesforce Classic to Lightning upgrades, data migrations, and complex system integrations.
- Expertise in web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, and XML.
- Strong knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth) and integrating third-party applications with Salesforce.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Flosum, Git, and CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
