Role Overview: Senior SAP FICO Consultant
Droisys is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP FICO Consultant to join our innovative technology team. This position is primarily focused on supporting our key client, Cognizant (CTS), on a high-priority digital transformation project. The role is based in Austin, TX, or Sunnyvale, CA, with a strong preference for candidates located in the Austin area. As a Senior Consultant, you will be at the forefront of implementing cutting-edge financial solutions, leveraging your deep technical expertise in SAP to modernize systems and simplify complex human-technology interactions. Key Responsibilities and Technical Expertise
- Lead and execute S/4 HANA implementations, with a specific emphasis on Brownfield migration strategies to ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems.
- Configure and optimize core SAP FICO modules, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Asset Accounting (AA), and Controlling and Profitability Analysis (COPA).
- Implement New GL and Document Splitting functionalities to support complex financial reporting requirements for global entities.
- Design and manage Automatic Payment processes utilizing DMEE, XML, and iDocs to streamline international banking operations.
- Oversee Revenue Recognition and Tax configurations, ensuring compliance with sales and purchase tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Integrate third-party taxation tools such as Sabrix, Taxware, or Vertex to automate tax calculations and reporting.
- Manage Withholding Tax and Intercompany processes through EDI-IDocs to facilitate efficient internal financial transactions.
- Develop and maintain interfaces between SAP and external systems, ensuring data integrity and real-time synchronization.
- Configure Bank Communication Management, Lockbox, and Electronic Bank Statements (EBS) using advanced search strings for automated reconciliation.
- Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules, specifically SD (Sales and Distribution), MM (Materials Management), and PS (Project Systems).
- Facilitate Local GAAP reporting using Special Purpose Ledgers and manage foreign currency valuation and translation for global business units.
- Lead the period-end closing process, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and delivered within strict corporate deadlines.
- Implement Credit Card processing solutions and manage Collection, Dispute, and Credit Management workflows.
- Develop custom reports and conduct rigorous testing of Function Modules, User Exits, and Business Transaction Events (BTEs).
Professional Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in SAP FICO, demonstrating a consistent track record of successful project delivery. A minimum of 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience with S/4 HANA implementation is required.
