Role Overview
The Sr. Specialty Software Engineer will be a pivotal member of our financial technology team, specifically focusing on the AxiomSL platform. With over 15 years of professional experience, the ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in handling large-scale data sets and complex regulatory reporting requirements. This role is based in Farmers Branch, TX, and requires a deep understanding of both technical architecture and the functional nuances of the banking industry. The candidate will be responsible for leading complex problem-solving initiatives and providing technical guidance to colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of reporting solutions within the AxiomSL platform.
- Manage and optimize very large data sets to ensure high-performance reporting and data integrity.
- Develop complex SQL and PL/SQL scripts for database design and backend programming.
- Perform advanced data modeling and analysis to support business intelligence and regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business needs into robust software solutions.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical and procedural documentation.
- Utilize R or Python to enhance data processing capabilities and automate repetitive tasks.
- Propose and design software solutions that address intricate business challenges.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to established software design patterns and architectural standards.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
- 5-8 years of dedicated experience with the AxiomSL platform and configuration.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL database programming.
- Strong background in data warehousing concepts and architectural design patterns.
- Proven ability to solve complex technical problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate level skills in data analysis and data modeling.
- Experience with R or Python is highly advantageous for this role.
- Knowledge of specific banking regulations or regulatory reports is a significant plus.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year (Estimated)
