This System Engineer position, based in the strategic hub of Middletown, NJ, is designed for a professional who thrives in hybrid environments and understands the critical nature of telco operations. You will be at the forefront of designing and implementing resilient system architectures that support massive scale and high availability.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Depth

You will translate complex technical needs into actionable user stories, participating actively in backlog grooming and sprint planning to ensure infrastructure readiness matches feature deployment cycles.
  • CI/CD and DevOps Collaboration: Working closely with software engineering teams, you will enhance CI/CD pipelines. Your goal is to streamline deployment workflows across multiple environments, reducing friction between development and production.
  • Security and Compliance: In the 2026 regulatory environment, security is paramount. You will implement and enforce robust security practices, including advanced access controls, continuous vulnerability management, and strict compliance with industry-specific standards.
  • Disaster Recovery (DR): You will be responsible for the end-to-end DR strategy, including backup execution, failover testing, and incident response coordination to ensure zero-data-loss objectives.
  • Operational Excellence: Providing Tier 2/3 support for complex system issues, you will drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Domain Expertise and Requirements

  • Telco Specialization: Candidates must possess verified experience in the Telecommunications sector, specifically within inventory management, workflow automation, and provisioning systems.
  • AT&T Ecosystem: Prior experience within the AT&T technical environment is highly preferred and will be a significant advantage during the selection process.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Hybrid Work Model: This role requires a physical presence in the Middletown, NJ office at least three days per week.

The 2026 Market Context

The demand for System Engineers who can navigate the complexities of 5G expansion and edge computing is at an all-time high. This role offers the opportunity to work on systems that impact millions of users, utilizing the latest in automation and monitoring tools. We are looking for an innovator who stays current with industry trends and is ready to drive the next generation of telco infrastructure.
