About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled System Engineer with strong expertise in Windows Server, Microsoft Azure, and automation to support and enhance enterprise infrastructure platforms. This role involves working in a client-facing environment, collaborating with distributed teams, and acting as an escalation engineer to ensure high availability and rapid issue resolution.
Required Skills:
- 5-8+ years of experience in System Engineering, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
- Strong experience with Windows Server (build, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, lifecycle management).
- Advanced scripting and automation using PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services.
- Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline development and automation.
- Working knowledge of Terraform Enterprise for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience supporting production systems and participating in on-call rotations.
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with clients and cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with Java or Groovy for Jenkins pipeline scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Group Policy (GPO) management.
- Knowledge of security best practices, server hardening, and compliance standards.
- Experience working in hybrid cloud or large-scale enterprise environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, configure, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure across on-premises and Azure environments.
- Automate server build and deployment processes using PowerShell.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform Enterprise.
- Provide on-call support and act as escalation point for critical incidents.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis across Windows and Azure environments.
- Engage with clients daily, providing updates and participating in operational discussions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across infrastructure, cloud, security, and applications.
- Support change management, releases, and production deployments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, automation artifacts, and runbooks.
- Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and service improvements.
