Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Tableau Developer with over 12 years of professional experience to join our team in Bellevue, WA. This is a critical role requiring a deep understanding of data visualization, business intelligence strategy, and complex data architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights through sophisticated, high-performance dashboards that drive executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex Tableau dashboards and workbooks that provide deep insights into business performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Optimize Tableau performance by refactoring data models, improving calculation efficiency, and managing extract schedules.
- Perform advanced data modeling and ETL processes to ensure data integrity and availability for visualization.
- Implement row-level security and manage user permissions within the Tableau Server environment.
- Conduct peer reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, ensuring best practices in data storytelling and visualization.
- Stay abreast of the latest Tableau features and industry trends to continuously improve the organization’s BI capabilities.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Visualization, with a primary focus on Tableau.
- Expert-level proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, and Tableau Server/Online.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis from various relational databases.
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
- Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Proficiency in advanced Tableau features such as Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, parameters, and sets.
- Ability to create visually compelling and intuitive user interfaces that adhere to design standards.
Soft Skills and Domain Expertise
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality BI solutions in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.
- Experience in the technology or retail sectors is highly preferred given the Bellevue location.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
