Job Summary:

Smartfolks is seeking a skilled TDM Engineer for a client position in Richardson, TX. This role is initially remote, with the potential for relocation to client or hub offices in the USA. The contract duration is expected to be between 6 to 12 months. The TDM Engineer will be responsible for designing, provisioning, and managing high-quality, secure, and compliant test data solutions across complex data ecosystems. This involves supporting large-scale data programs and ensuring data integrity and privacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize TDM tools (e.g., CA TDM, Delphix, Informatica TDM) for test data management.
  • Perform test data provisioning, data profiling, and data masking.
  • Implement sub-setting, synthetic data generation, and PII protection strategies.
  • Understand and apply ETL & Data Pipeline concepts, including DWH concepts and data flow traceability.
  • Leverage strong SQL and database expertise for data manipulation and management.
  • Support test automation initiatives.
  • Gain exposure to the US Healthcare domain, understanding its specific data requirements and compliance standards.
  • Utilize programming languages such as Python and PySpark for scripting and automation.
  • Design and implement test data orchestration across distributed systems.
  • Ensure test data is secure, compliant, and meets the needs of various testing phases.
  • Collaborate with development and testing teams to ensure seamless integration of test data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test data provisioning and management.
  • Maintain documentation for TDM processes and solutions.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven proficiency with TDM Tools (CA TDM, Delphix, Informatica TDM, or similar).
  • Extensive experience in test data provisioning, data profiling, and data masking techniques.
  • Strong understanding of ETL and data pipeline concepts, including DWH principles.
  • Expert-level SQL and database management skills.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and methodologies.
  • Understanding of US Healthcare domain data models and compliance (HIPAA, PHI/PII).
  • Experience with programming languages like Python and PySpark.
  • Knowledge of data masking techniques for protecting sensitive information.
  • Ability to work with complex data ecosystems and distributed systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of the US Healthcare domain, including regulatory compliance.
  • Advanced programming skills in Python and PySpark.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms.

Work Environment:

This position is initially remote, offering flexibility. However, candidates should be prepared for potential relocation to client or hub offices within the USA. The role requires a dedicated individual who can manage test data effectively in a dynamic environment.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $60 – $85 per year (Estimated)
