Role Overview: Tech Lead/Architect – Mobile Development
We are seeking a visionary Tech Lead and Architect to spearhead our mobile development initiatives in Seattle, WA. This role is critical for a high-impact project requiring a sophisticated blend of iOS and Android expertise. As a leader in our engineering department, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of mobile applications, from initial architectural design to final deployment and post-launch optimization. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert who can navigate the complexities of hybrid work environments while maintaining a high standard of code quality and team performance.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Leadership
- Lead the architectural design of cross-platform mobile solutions, ensuring 70% focus on iOS (Objective-C, Swift, SwiftUI) and 30% on Android (Java, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose).
- Oversee the development process, providing mentorship and technical guidance to a team of engineers to ensure adherence to industry best practices.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews and implement design patterns that enhance application scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust technical specifications.
- Drive innovation by integrating modern frontend technologies like ReactJS and backend frameworks such as .NET into the mobile ecosystem.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using Powershell, XML, and YAML to ensure seamless delivery and deployment cycles.
- Implement advanced telemetry and logging solutions using Sumo Logic, AppInsights, and Azure technologies to monitor application health and performance.
- Utilize Azure functions and Kubernetes (K8s) for backend orchestration and microservices integration.
- Ensure high-quality user experiences by leveraging Quantum Metrics and automated testing tools like XCTest.
- Optimize data exchange and connectivity through the strategic use of Networking Libraries and REST APIs.

In this role, you are not just a coder; you are a strategic partner. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that mobile applications meet and exceed business objectives. Your expertise in the full tech stack—including frontend ReactJS and backend .NET—will be vital in creating a unified and user-friendly digital experience. You will be expected to stay ahead of market trends, driving continuous improvement in mobile app design to maintain a competitive edge. This position requires a local presence in Seattle, with a hybrid schedule requiring at least three days per week in the office to foster collaboration and innovation within the local engineering hub.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $185,000 – $245,000 per year (Estimated)
