About the Role:
We are urgently seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst with extensive experience in Investment Banking to join our client’s team in New York City. This is a long-term contract position requiring local candidates and a hybrid work model (3 days onsite). You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within the financial services sector.
- Develop and refine Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirements.
- Perform comprehensive Data & Process Mapping to visualize workflows and identify areas for improvement.
- Write and execute SQL Queries for data analysis and validation.
- Utilize JIRA for project tracking, issue management, and workflow optimization.
- Provide essential Project Management support, including project planning, tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
- Manage risks and issues effectively to ensure project success.
- Leverage experience in Legal, Compliance & Regulatory domains within financial services.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, effectively liaising with diverse teams and senior management.
- Apply strong domain expertise in Investment Banking to all project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and support system integration testing (SIT).
- Analyze and document existing business processes and propose improvements.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including process flows, use cases, and user manuals.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and roadmap development for financial technology solutions.
Mandatory Skills:
- 10-15+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a significant portion in Investment Banking.
- Proficiency in creating BRDs & Functional Requirements.
- Expertise in Data & Process Mapping.
- Advanced SQL Querying skills.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA.
- Solid understanding of Project Management principles.
- Experience in Legal, Compliance & Regulatory aspects of Investment Banking.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
