Role Overview: Technical Project Manager (Azure Migration)
Hallmark Global Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Technical Project Manager (PM) to spearhead a critical Azure Cloud Migration initiative onsite in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is designed for a leader who possesses a rare blend of project management rigor and deep technical expertise in cloud infrastructure. As the primary driver of the migration strategy, you will be responsible for the seamless transition of enterprise workloads into a modernized Azure environment, ensuring that all deployments are automated, secure, and compliant with global standards.
Key Responsibilities and Strategic Execution
- Migration Strategy & Execution: Define and execute the end-to-end strategy for moving complex subscriptions and associated workloads from legacy environments to target Azure tenants. This includes discovery, assessment, and wave planning.
- Azure Platform Engineering: Utilize Bicep and Azure Verified Modules (AVM) to create and automate landing zones. You will oversee Subscription Vending and ensure standardized resource deployment across the enterprise.
- DevOps Pipelines: Design and manage Azure DevOps pipelines for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments, ensuring that all infrastructure is version-controlled and follows CI/CD best practices.
- Subscription Governance: Implement robust Azure subscription management, including RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), policy enforcement, management groups, and enterprise naming conventions.
- Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Application owners, Security, and Networking, to manage migration waves, dependencies, and technical risks.
- Automation & Optimization: Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using PowerShell and Bicep, while optimizing Azure costs and resource utilization through right-sizing and governance.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed technical documentation and migration runbooks. Provide regular, high-level status reporting to leadership regarding project milestones and blockers.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in technical program or project management, with at least 3+ years specifically focused on Azure Cloud Migration projects.
- Azure Infrastructure Expertise: Deep knowledge of Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure Landing Zones, and the Subscription Vending framework.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Advanced proficiency in Bicep for declarative infrastructure deployment is mandatory.
- Azure Verified Modules (AVM): Practical experience implementing AVM to standardize and accelerate resource deployment across multiple environments.
- DevOps Mastery: Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, specifically Repos and Pipelines, to manage the lifecycle of infrastructure code.
- Migration Tooling: Proficiency with Azure Migrate for assessment and migration execution.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $140,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
