Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Product Owner to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for defining and refining the vision for our analytics products, ensuring they align perfectly with the enterprise analytics strategy and overarching business priorities. You will be instrumental in translating complex business needs into clear, actionable product goals, measurable success metrics, and a well-defined backlog.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Customer Data Owner to establish and continuously improve the vision for analytics products.
- Ensure strong alignment between product vision, enterprise analytics strategy, and key business objectives.
- Translate high-level business requirements into structured product goals, defining clear success metrics for each.
- Develop and maintain a detailed product backlog, ensuring all items are clearly defined and prioritized.
- Partner with the Customer Product Owner to define and manage the roadmap for the data product, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Oversee and ensure that data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and consumption patterns adhere to established best practices and robust governance controls.
- Work hand-in-hand with Customer data engineers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to guarantee data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and overall fitness for consumption.
- Act as the central liaison, facilitating seamless communication between business units, data engineering teams, analytics consumers, compliance officers, and the architecture team.
- Champion and promote self-service analytics capabilities by developing well-governed datasets, certified metrics, and standardized BI/semantic layer governance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner or similar role in an analytics-focused environment.
- Strong understanding of data product development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data governance, data quality, and best practices in data management.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools and concepts is a plus.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year
