Position Summary: AI/ML Technical Specialist
Sunray Enterprise, Inc. is looking for a Senior Technical Specialist with a deep focus on Machine Learning and Python development to support a major client in the Telecom domain. Located onsite in Chester, PA, this long-term engagement requires a professional who can navigate the complexities of Telecom BSS (Business Support Systems) and OSS (Operations Support Systems) while implementing cutting-edge AI solutions. This role is designed for a visionary developer who understands how to leverage Generative AI and advanced data engineering to transform telecommunications infrastructure.
Technical Expertise and Domain Knowledge
- Machine Learning & Python Mastery: You must possess 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python and its scientific ecosystem, including NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow. The role involves the full ML lifecycle, from model training and evaluation to deployment and continuous monitoring.
- Telecom Domain Specialization: This position is strictly for candidates with Telecom experience. You must understand fixed, mobile, IoT, and convergence domains. Specific expertise in BSS solutions across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product Management for CSPs (Communication Service Providers) is required.
- Generative AI & LLMs: Stay at the forefront of technology with hands-on experience in OpenAI, LangChain, Hugging Face Transformers, and Llama Index. Knowledge of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architecture and prompt engineering is a significant advantage.
- Cloud & MLOps: Familiarity with enterprise-grade AI platforms such as AWS Sagemaker, Azure ML, or GCP AI Platform is essential. You will utilize Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure scalable and reliable model deployment.
- Industry Standards: Must have knowledge of TM Forum Standards and processes, as well as an understanding of 5G Network architecture and network slicing concepts.
Strategic Impact and Qualifications
As a Technical Specialist, you will not only write code but also design end-to-end solutions that integrate with major telecom COTS products like Amdocs, Netcracker, or Ericsson. You will be responsible for data ingestion and preprocessing, often utilizing SQL and visualization tools like Power BI or Streamlit to communicate insights to stakeholders. Candidates should hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Data Science. This role offers the opportunity to lead the AI transformation within the telecom sector, driving efficiency and innovation in a highly competitive market.

Compensation & Location
