Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Test Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and implementing automated testing frameworks, with a focus on Cucumber and Java. This is an onsite position located in Missouri, requiring local candidates to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cucumber and Java.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects and regressions.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Identify opportunities for improving testing processes and tools.
- Document test plans, test cases, and test results.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices in test automation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
- Hands-on experience with Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD).
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
