Job Description: Threat Implementation Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Threat Implementation Engineer to join our client’s team. This role is critical for designing, deploying, and optimizing enterprise threat solutions in a large-scale financial environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep engineering background in threat platforms and a strong understanding of secure network architectures.
- Experience: Over 10 years of overall experience required, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on engineering experience with enterprise Threat solutions in large-scale or financial environments.
- Technical Expertise: Deep engineering experience in Threat platforms, including design, low-level engineering, deployment, and optimization of hardware and software systems. Proven experience building, operating, and deploying Threat platforms such as SkyHigh Secure Web Gateway, F5 SSLO, Trellix FireEye, and Blue Coat ProxySG.
- Networking Skills: Strong understanding of DMZ networking, secure network segmentation, and Cisco routing and switching.
- Project Management: Ability to lead technical planning, risk mitigation, and deployment sequencing for complex Threat implementations.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Process Adherence: Ability to follow structured processes with strong attention to detail while identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
- Communication: Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive Approach: Willingness to volunteer for high-impact work, own deliverables, and escalate risks when needed.
- Availability: Ability to work nights and weekends to support change activity.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Management, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Additional Skills: Knowledge of DMZ networking and Cisco routing and switching. Security and networking certifications highly preferred (e.g., ISC2 CISSP). Banking industry experience is highly recommended. Programming skills a plus: sh, Perl, Python, Golang, C, C++. Administrator-level ability with UNIX/Linux is highly desirable. Experience with analytical thinking, application development, automation, production support, risk management, adaptability, DevOps practices, solution delivery processes, and solution design. Ability to adhere to work effort and project close-out practices including database updates, asset tracking, inventory systems, records retention, and tool/process updates. Ability to work with Design Engineering and Security Architecture teams in a knowledge-sharing capacity to support adoption of new technologies or process changes. Ability to identify opportunities to improve service delivery and measure improvement over time. Understanding of bank network infrastructure and associated risk management practices (highly recommended).
Special Requirements

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
