Job Description:

  • Provide direct front-office technology support to Equities traders, middle office users, and Compliance teams on the trading floor.
  • Monitor trading platforms and FIX network connectivity to ensure system stability and availability.
  • Diagnose and resolve real-time trading issues, including detailed investigation of compliance-related inquiries.
  • Communicate major incidents, impacts, and resolution status clearly to key stakeholders and senior management.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from traders, ensuring proper tracking, prioritization, and transparency.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for vendor and internal development teams to deliver enhancements.
  • Share end-to-end business workflows with Support and QA teams to strengthen regression testing and operational readiness.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the knowledge base, support runbooks, scripts, and technical documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience supporting mission-critical front-office trading applications within Equities, including U.S. Market Making, ETFs, Electronic Trading, Global Program Trading, and Convertible Bonds.
  • Strong understanding of high-touch trading workflows, FIX protocol, OMS platforms, IOI processing, market data, and CTM flows, Tidal or other scheduler systems.
  • Proven experience handling regulatory and compliance-driven requests and inquiries, including Reg NMS, Reg SHO, CAT, ACT, ORF, and TRACE.
  • Proficient with SQL querying, JIRA for issue tracking, and Excel for operational analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across front office, middle office, and control functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize and execute effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools is a plus.
