About the Role:
The UI Architect will lead the design and evolution of enterprise-grade, high-performance UI platforms with a specific emphasis on AI-driven intelligence. This position requires a visionary who can architect scalable React solutions while pioneering the integration of LLMs to create adaptive, personalized user journeys. You will define the front-end technical strategy, establish architectural guardrails, and lead the development of “intelligent” design systems that leverage streaming responses and latency-sensitive rendering for AI services.
Key Responsibilities:
- UI Architecture Leadership: Architect scalable, enterprise-grade UI platforms using React, Remix, and Next.js, focusing on SSR and performance optimization.
- AI-Augmented UI Strategy: Define and implement architectures that integrate LLMs and GenAI services into customer-facing digital tools.
- Intelligent Component Design: Build AI-driven design systems and component libraries capable of handling streaming responses and adaptive UI flows.
- Standards & Governance: Establish UI architectural standards, coding guidelines, and reusable patterns while ensuring AI safety and governance.
- Full-Stack Orchestration: Partner with Data Science and ML Engineering teams to deliver compliant, scalable, and AI-inference aware UI systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with IT Delivery and Release Management to define interface specifications and document end-to-end data flows.
- Mentorship: Guide development teams on modular front-end patterns, accessibility (A11y), and browser performance best practices.
Essential Skills:
- 10+ years in Front End Architecture with a proven track record in large-scale, consumer-facing applications.
- 5+ years of hands-on React expertise and 2+ years with Remix or Next.js.
- Deep understanding of Prompt Engineering and interaction design for AI-powered interfaces (Copilots/Assistants).
- Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and cloud-based UI architectures on AWS.
- Mastery of web fundamentals: HTML5, CSS3, browser security, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and automated quality gates.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Sitecore or other headless CMS platforms.
- Knowledge of AI-based analytics and telemetry for tracking AI effectiveness and user behavior.
- Familiarity with SPEC-driven development workflows leveraging AI tools.
- Experience in regulated industries requiring high standards for data privacy and responsible AI.
