Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UI Developer / React Developer for a critical 12-month contract engagement located in Malvern, PA. This role is designed for a professional with 6 to 7 years of hands-on experience in building sophisticated web applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works. A key focus of this position is the seamless integration of front-end user interfaces with mid-tier services and Python-based APIs. This is a high-impact role within a dynamic team environment where technical excellence and innovative problem-solving are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain highly responsive web applications using the React framework, ensuring a premium user experience that meets modern web standards.
- Translate complex UX/UI designs and wireframes into high-quality, accessible, and performant user interfaces, ensuring visual consistency across the platform.
- Build and maintain reusable components and front-end libraries to ensure consistency and scalability across the enterprise application suite, reducing technical debt.
- Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services, specifically collaborating with backend engineers working on Python-based data processing services and microservices.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility across various devices, browsers, and platforms.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to industry best practices and internal development standards to facilitate long-term project health.
- Participate actively in code reviews to maintain code quality, provide constructive feedback to peers, and contribute to the evolution of team-wide frontend standards.
- Operate within an Agile/Scrum delivery framework, supporting iterative development cycles, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and regular release schedules.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex UI, performance, and integration issues as they arise in the development lifecycle, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the front-end ecosystem to suggest improvements and innovative solutions.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 6-7 years of professional experience in UI/Front-end development with a heavy focus on React and modern JavaScript ecosystems.
- Expert proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern build tools like Vite, with a deep understanding of component lifecycle and hooks.
- Extensive experience with AWS Services, including but not limited to Lambda, S3, IAM, ECS, and Event Bridge, to support cloud-native application development.
- Proven ability to integrate UI components with Python-based mid-tier services and APIs, understanding the nuances of data flow between front and back ends.
- Experience developing micro-frontends is highly advantageous and preferred for this specific project to support modular architecture.
- Strong understanding of state management (e.g., Redux, Context API), asynchronous request handling, and partial page updates.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines, CI/CD processes, and testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Project Details and Constraints
- Location: This position is strictly local to Malvern, PA. Candidates must be currently residing in or willing to commute to the Malvern area. No remote options are available at this time.
- Duration: 12-month contract with potential for extension based on performance, budget availability, and project needs.
- Interview Process: The selection process includes an initial screening followed by comprehensive Video and Phone interviews to assess technical and cultural fit.
- Integrity: Candidates must be genuine; no support or proxy interviews will be tolerated. We value transparency and direct communication throughout the hiring process.
- Domain Focus: The project involves heavy integration with Python-based backend systems, requiring a developer who is comfortable navigating full-stack integration challenges.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $135,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)
