Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced UI Lead with strong Angular (v18) expertise to drive front-end architecture, development, and team leadership for a major banking client. This hands-on role requires deep technical proficiency, design sensitivity, and the ability to lead a 10-member onsite/offshore team while collaborating closely with business, architects, and product stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a 10-member onsite/offshore UI team, providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement micro-frontend architecture aligned with target-state enterprise design.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, business partners, and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Drive sprint planning, product deliverables, status reporting, and participation in all Scrum ceremonies.
  • Build and deploy Angular-based UI components in alignment with business requirements and enterprise guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, architectural frameworks, and development best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide timely feedback, and maintain project documentation.
  • Assess and enforce web accessibility standards (WCAG) and ensure UI is responsive and user-friendly.
  • Perform security reviews to identify and mitigate front-end vulnerabilities (XSS, CSRF, etc.).
  • Monitor and optimize UI performance, improving page load speed and overall UX.
  • Support business development activities, including technical proposal contributions.
  • Provide training and support to team members; respond promptly to system-related issues.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12+ years in front-end development.
  • 8+ years experience as a UI Lead.
  • Strong expertise in Angular v18.
  • Excellent understanding of UX principles and a strong design sense.
  • Advanced experience with:
    • HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and TypeScript
    • CSS-in-JS frameworks (styled-components, emotion, JSS)
    • Angular best practices, tools, and libraries
    • Testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library (or similar)
  • Proven experience building responsive and accessible user interfaces.
  • Ability to independently lead development while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Experience managing onsite/offshore delivery models.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA
