Role Overview
Compunnel is seeking a highly experienced Senior UI React Developer for a long-term contract position. This role is specifically tailored for candidates residing in the Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone, as alignment with West Coast business hours is a critical requirement for this project. With a minimum requirement of 10+ years of professional experience, the ideal candidate will be a master of the React ecosystem, TypeScript, and modern CSS architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain a comprehensive React component library utilizing TypeScript to ensure robust prop testing, accessibility coverage, and detailed documentation.
- Implement a unified CSS design system using tokens, themes, and responsive patterns that seamlessly support both light and dark modes.
- Develop and refine redesigned web pages using reusable components, ensuring they are ready for seamless integration by incumbent delivery partners.
- Create immersive scrollytelling experiences while proactively mitigating scroll jank, layout shifts, and performance regressions to maintain a smooth user experience.
- Deliver high-performance production WebGL experiences, complete with documented fallback strategies and performance optimization techniques.
- Perform rigorous QA and validation of components across frontline browsers including Edge and Chrome, covering various viewports from 540px to 1920px and ROW scaling up to 40%.
- Ensure strict compliance with Microsoft Accessibility Standards, including full keyboard navigation, screen reader support, and WCAG alignment.
- Collaborate with the Analytics team to implement custom analytics tags and events for data-driven insights.
Technical Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on UI/UX.
- Expert-level proficiency in React.js and TypeScript.
- Advanced knowledge of Bootstrap, CSS, and CSS3.
- Experience with WebGL and performance-centric web animations.
- Strong understanding of web accessibility (WCAG) and cross-browser compatibility.
- Proven track record of building scalable component libraries and design systems.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
