BACKGROUND

The mission of the Corporate Information Technologies Department (CIT) is to use technology to enable IFC’s strategic priorities and to support business and operations. By acting as the technology partner and business enabler, the department provides state-of-the-art IT solutions to support IFC’s operations. CIT is looking for an experienced creative designer who will design for web, mobile. This person will generally apply design to prototypes or wireframes that have been created by an information architect or interaction designer. The designer must be able to take a design concept, translate that into an appealing visual representation and adhere to pre-set standards.

SCOPE OF WORK

Detailed scope of work and responsibilities

  • Guide the user experience process to ensure a cohesive and unified experience across various operational, financial and data IT products.
  • Serve as a center of excellence for UX in each project.
  • Facilitate user engagement sessions and oversee the deliverables from UX vendor teams to ensure consistent visual and interaction patterns across projects.
  • Provide UX guidance for enterprise initiatives and enhancements.
  • Collaborate directly with business sponsors and subject matter experts to understand business requirements and constraints.
  • Actively conduct user modeling and task analysis, and develop personas and scenarios.
  • Facilitate user research sessions and communicate the findings.
  • Create or advise on content architecture and navigation design.
  • Translate complex user requirements and technical constraints into simple user interfaces.
  • Recommend solutions for complex interaction problems and enhance the overall user experience within and across applications.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience with Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, software engineering, or similar field, or equivalent work experience
  • Usability Analyst certification desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of the trade-offs between optimum user experience and technical, information security, and business constraints, and ability to propose appropriate compromises
  • Experience in:
    • Experience in user experience design for platforms or during platform implementation is an advantage.
    • Envisioning the user experience for multiple enterprise applications with complex business needs
    • Experience with Figma is important
    • Connecting dots and bringing a cohesive experience across deliverables produced in different project tracks
    • Managing multiple projects from a UX perspective, being responsible for adherence to standards, for the timely and quality delivery of artifacts
    • Basic experience with other Prototyping tools, HTML/CSS & Photoshop is a plus
  • Subject matter expertise:
    • In-depth knowledge of usability engineering and information architecture
    • In-depth knowledge of interaction design
    • High level of visual design expertise
    • Broad level of understanding of information systems and application development methodologies
    • Systems, application development methodologies, emerging tech

TIMESHEETS AND PAYMENT

All time worked must be recorded in the Bank’s ITVMS system on a weekly basis for approval by the Bank PM. Subsequent Invoices will be auto generated for payment based on approved time.
