Job Role: Utility OMS ADMS SME

We are seeking an experienced Utility SME with strong expertise in OMS, ADMS, data analytics platforms, and modern integration technologies. This role focuses on driving technical vision, improving customer experience during planned and unplanned outages, and enabling scalable, data-driven solutions across utility systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive architectural vision aligned with product and customer experience goals.
  • Evolve technical strategy by incorporating new and emerging technologies.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions balancing risk, cost, and scalability.
  • Drive standardization across enterprise platforms and customer channels.
  • Analyze customer feedback and operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, IT, and field operations.
  • Support initiatives focused on improving outage management and customer communication.
  • Quickly assess challenges and propose effective, scalable solutions.
  • Influence stakeholders and leadership to align on technical direction and execution priorities.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of Utility domain experience across OMS, ADMS, and related platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) and Outage Management Systems (OMS).
  • Experience with data analytics platforms such as Palantir Foundry.
  • Knowledge of middleware technologies like MuleSoft.
  • Experience with notification systems (voice, text, email) and data streaming tools like Apache Kafka and Flink.
  • Strong understanding of utility business processes including planned and unplanned outages.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with a solid understanding of Agile principles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from quantitative data.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (including Director-level interactions).
  • Strong decision-making, ownership, and execution capabilities.
  • Ability to build relationships and drive team collaboration.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in enterprise architecture and standardization initiatives.
  • Exposure to customer experience transformation in utilities.
  • Knowledge of modern data streaming and real-time analytics solutions.
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise utility systems.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in utility domain and technology platform.
