Job Title: Vermilion Reporting Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Vermilion Reporting Specialist with strong experience in the Vermilion Reporting Suite (VRS) to support client reporting and data integration within the financial services / asset management domain. This is an onsite contract position in Newark, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Configuration

  • Implement, configure, and customize Vermilion Reporting Suite (VRS) based on client reporting requirements.

Technical Integration

  • Design and manage data integrations between VRS and external systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, Markit EDM, Aladdin, and APIs (XML/JSON).

Workflow Automation

  • Build, test, and maintain automated reporting workflows and batch processes.

Report Development

  • Design and develop high-quality, reusable templates for multiple asset classes.

Testing & Troubleshooting

  • Perform system testing, data validation, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and optimal platform performance.

Required Skills:

Domain & Experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in enterprise software implementation, preferably within financial services or asset management.

Core Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in SQL (MS SQL / Oracle).
  • Experience with ETL processes and database debugging.
  • Hands-on experience with Vermilion Reporting Suite (VRS) including modules, APIs, and report design.

Financial Knowledge

  • Understanding of performance measurement, client reporting, and portfolio data.
  • Experience working with asset classes such as Fixed Income, Equities, and Derivatives.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Basic exposure to Java development.
