Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated V&V (Verification and Validation) Engineer with a strong background in hardware testing and compliance. This role is crucial for ensuring our products meet rigorous performance, reliability, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechatronic product V&V and a solid understanding of medical device compliance and certification testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing and Validation:
- Plan and conduct functional tests and performance evaluations on hardware prototypes.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to hardware functionality and compatibility.
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration and compatibility.
- Document and communicate test results effectively to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Compliance Testing and Certification:
- Plan and execute compliance tests (e.g., EMI/EMC, electrical safety, environmental tests) according to UL, CE, and IEC 60601 standards.
- Coordinate and support Radiopharmaceutical testing (RP testing).
- Execute test protocols as per established standards.
- Support and coordinate package/environment testing.
- Liaise with external accredited labs for formal certification testing, pre-compliance, and formal test environments.
- Prepare test setups, including grounding, shielding, and wiring configurations, for accurate EMI/EMC measurements.
- Witness EMI/EMC tests and analyze results.
- Analyze test failures and non-compliance issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide actionable feedback and debugging recommendations to design teams.
- Review regulatory standards and ensure test methods comply with certification protocols.
- Prepare and maintain detailed test reports, compliance logs, and documentation required for certification.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience in Mechatronic product Verification and Validation (V&V).
- Proficiency in medical device compliance and certification testing.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as UL, CE, and IEC 60601.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent documentation and reporting abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a product testing lab or at a client location.
