Job Summary:
Vaarida Technologies is urgently seeking an experienced WCS Consultant for an onsite, long-term contract role at client warehouse locations in Palmetto, GA, and McDonough, GA. This position requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) / Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) with a strong background in warehouse automation integration and retail/distribution center environments. The consultant will provide end-to-end functional and technical leadership, contributing to system analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end functional and technical leadership for WCS/WES solutions.
- Conduct system analysis, solution design, code development, testing, deployment, and steady-state operational support.
- Contribute to business pursuit initiatives, client training, and in-house capability building.
- Interface with client IT and Business teams to discuss technical and functional solutions, process definitions, and improvement ideas.
- Manage client interactions and ensure high-value WCS/WES solutions are delivered to meet evolving operational and global business demands.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production support issues, including P1/P2 incidents, and provide on-call support for critical issues during non-business hours.
- Develop and propose permanent solutions for WCS operational and application issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including solution designs, SOPs, interface specifications, troubleshooting guides, and RCA reports.
- Design systems to fulfill client project requirements.
- Coordinate with project teams and client stakeholders to plan, execute, and monitor project milestones.
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly status reporting, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project objectives.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 10+ years of Total IT experience.
- Minimum 5 years of SME level experience in Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) / Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) applications (e.g., Mantissa Merlin, Dematic WCS, KNAPP WCS).
- More than 5 years of experience working on Production Support Projects with strong hands-on experience in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
- Experience with warehouse automation components (sorters, conveyors, scanners, scale systems, material handling equipment).
- Experience with system integration involving WMS, WCS, and MHE automation hardware (message queues, APIs, socket communication, host interfaces).
- Well-versed with Warehouse Operation process flow (Inbound, Outbound, Inventory Management).
- Familiarity with SDLC processes, configuration management, and deployment methodologies.
- Experience working in an onsite-offshore model and coordinating with 24×7 offshore support teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, high analytical skills, and high customer orientation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal coaching/mentoring.
Preferred Skills:
- Preferable exposure to VB.NET, C# programming languages.
- Exposure on Microsoft SQL Server Standard (64 bit) 2019 and Windows Server 2016 Standard (10.0).
Special Requirements
Onsite, Long Term Contract, Interview: Virtual, Must work onsite from client warehouse locations in Palmetto, GA, USA and McDonough, GA, USA. Willing to provide On-Call support for critical issues during non-business hours.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
