About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Web-Focus Report Developer for a 12-month contract role with potential for extension, working remotely but requiring local presence to New Jersey. The consultant will be responsible for the full lifecycle of report development, from analysis and design to implementation, testing, and maintenance. This role requires a strong understanding of WebFOCUS internals and related technologies, as well as the ability to collaborate with various business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate existing reports, determine fields used, and analyze report structures.
- Design, code, and test new reports from scratch.
- Maintain and enhance existing reports, including providing production support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to both legacy and new-development reports.
- Develop and maintain integrations with third-party services.
- Collaborate with business and technical personnel who own data in various systems (DB2, Sybase, SQL, Mainframe Flat Files, etc.).
- Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance with industry standards.
- Work independently at their own defined location and as a member of a team.
- Participate in two scheduled weekly meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be able to compare actual project procedures to specified standards and procedures.
- Should demonstrate expertise with the most recent and relevant technologies in the WebFocus environment.
- Must have excellent communication skills and possess the ability to collaborate with internal and external groups, including vendors.
- Reports development utilizing Information Builders’ WebFocus (Version 8 preferred).
- User Interface Design / HTML.
- Experience with GUI / User Interface driven by dynamic parameter-driven reporting selection criteria.
- JavaScript / CSS.
- Business and System Analysis.
- Report Development Skills.
- Ability to follow a UML Diagram provided by an end user in order to create multiple Web Reports.
- Experience with the GUI Environment/User Interfaces Built using Dynamic Parameters/Report Selection Criteria.
- Knowledge of WebFocus Security and how it works.
- Business Flow and Systems Data Analysis/Analytics.
- 4 Years College Degree or an equivalent of Technical Study.

Special Requirements
Local to NJ required. Interview via Webcam. Work independently at own location. Participate in two scheduled weekly meetings.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $110,000 per year (Estimated)
