Role Overview: Wintel Administrator
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Wintel Administrator to join our dynamic IT infrastructure team in Olathe, Kansas. This onsite position is critical for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of our enterprise-level Windows environment. As a Wintel Admin, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of server infrastructures, ensuring that all systems meet the rigorous demands of a 24×7 production environment. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise in Microsoft technologies and a proactive approach to system optimization and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Requirements
- Windows Server & Infrastructure Management: Provide expert-level administration for Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. You will manage Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPO) to ensure seamless identity management and network services across the organization.
- Virtualization Expertise: Demonstrate advanced hands-on experience with VMware administration. This includes managing ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and the entire VM lifecycle from provisioning to decommissioning. You will be expected to optimize resource allocation and ensure high availability within the virtual cluster.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Utilize proven expert-level troubleshooting skills to resolve complex system issues. This includes performing packet-level analysis using tools like Wireshark to diagnose network-related performance bottlenecks and connectivity problems.
- Data Protection & Backup: Manage and maintain enterprise backup technologies such as Veeam, Rubrik, or Cohesity. You will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, performing regular backup audits, and executing disaster recovery drills to meet strict Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
- Storage & Networking: Maintain a solid understanding of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, RAID configurations, and LUN management. You will work closely with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and firewalls) to support comprehensive end-to-end troubleshooting and infrastructure security.
- Production Support: Operate effectively in a high-pressure 24×7 production environment. You must be prepared to adhere to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and participate in on-call rotations to ensure maximum system uptime.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $115,000 – $145,000 per year (Estimated)
