Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Wintel & VMWARE Administrator to join our enterprise environment. This role requires strong hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting complex Wintel and VMware infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of resolving critical issues in live production environments and interacting effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong, real-time experience in Wintel administration, including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPO.
  • Manage and administer VMware environments, including ESXi, vCenter, and VM lifecycle management.
  • Troubleshoot live P1 incidents involving Wintel, VMware, and other operating systems, collaborating with multiple teams for swift resolution.
  • Experience in storage and file system management, including performance tuning.
  • Interact effectively with customer stakeholders to understand and address their needs.
  • Utilize expert-level troubleshooting skills, including packet-level analysis with tools like Wireshark.
  • Manage backup technologies such as Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity, or similar enterprise solutions.
  • Ensure a solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls) to support end-to-end troubleshooting.
  • Work within 24×7 production environments with strict Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements.

Technical Requirements:

  • Expertise in Wintel administration (Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO).
  • Advanced hands-on experience with VMware administration (ESXi, vCenter, VM lifecycle management).
  • Proven expert-level troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with enterprise backup technologies.
  • Solid understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, RAID, LUN management, performance tuning).
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals.
  • Experience working in 24×7 production environments.

Additional Information:

This is a contract-to-hire (C2H) position with an expected duration of 6-12+ months. The role requires onsite presence in Sparks, NV, or Olathe, KS.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $50 – $70 per year (Estimated)

Location: Sparks, NV
