Position Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Workday Financials Developer/Analyst to join their team in a hybrid capacity. This role is critical for the maintenance and optimization of Workday Financial modules, including Revenue Management, Cash Management, and Accounts Receivable. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical development skills and business analysis acumen to bridge the gap between financial requirements and system functionality.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex Workday reports, including Simple, Advanced, and Matrix reports, utilizing calculated fields and various business objects.
- Configure and optimize Workday Financial Management processes such as Customer Contracts, Invoices, and Revenue Recognition Schedules.
- Lead all phases of the Workday lifecycle, from initial requirement gathering and business process analysis to configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Manage the bi-annual Workday feature releases by reviewing release notes, performing regression testing, and identifying new functionalities to enhance business operations.
- Utilize JIRA for task tracking and J-Queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Administer Workday Security, including the assignment of Role-Based and User-Based Security Groups and debugging access-related issues.
- Collaborate with external Workday consultants and internal stakeholders to resolve production support issues and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Integrate Workday with third-party tools such as Vertex for tax management and JAMS for job scheduling.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members and prepare regular status reports for senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience with Workday Financials and report writing.
- Strong understanding of financial business processes and accounting principles.
- Experience with Kainos test automation is highly desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work from the Rockville, MD or Tysons, VA office 3 days per week in compliance with FINRA guidelines.
Interview and Submission Process
The interview process consists of 2 to 3 steps. All submittals must include a valid LinkedIn profile and managerial references. This is an initial 6-month contract with a high probability of extension based on performance and project needs.

Active LinkedIn required. Managerial references required with submittal. 2-3 step interview process. Hybrid 3 days/week per FINRA guidelines. No fake profiles.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $130,000 – $180,000 per year (Estimated)
