Job Description: Workday HCM Technical – Application Development & Maintenance

We are looking for a highly skilled Workday Senior Engineer to design, develop, and sustain complex Workday integrations and solutions that support enterprise HR and business operations. This role requires advanced technical expertise to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions with enterprise-wide impact, while closely partnering with cross-functional teams and mentoring other engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workday Integration Development: Lead the design, development, and support of complex Workday integrations across HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Security, Downstream enterprise systems, and Enterprise Initiatives.
  • Enterprise Initiatives: Deliver and support enterprise initiatives including Workday Public Cloud Migration, Workday Everywhere, EDM, and Vendor integrations.
  • Integration Technologies: Build and maintain secure and scalable integration solutions using Workday Studio, EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder), Core Connectors, CIC+, APIs, and SSO integrations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (HRIT, Security/IAM, Network, Infrastructure) and external vendors to ensure solutions are compliant, reliable, and performant.
  • System Impact & Migration Support: Perform impact analysis and remediation for tenant migrations, reference ID alignment, URL updates, and security changes. Execute bulk updates when required.
  • Integration Governance: Establish and enhance integration standards, monitoring frameworks, error handling mechanisms, and support processes to reduce operational risk.
  • Production Support: Support production cutovers, post-production stabilization, and ongoing enhancements and maintenance.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions Integration: Lead and support M&A system integrations, including coordination across multiple Workday tenants and ongoing operational management.
  • Workday Automation & Custom Solutions: Design and implement Workday Orchestrations to automate business processes and integration workflows. Use Workday Extend to build and support custom applications.
  • Technical Leadership: Act as a technical mentor by providing guidance to engineers, conducting design and code reviews, and recommending best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8-12+ years in IT or a related field (preferred).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Essential Skills: Expertise in Workday HCM Technical, Workday Integration technologies, Enterprise system integration, Cloud and tenant migration support, Integration monitoring and troubleshooting, Security and SSO implementation.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $60 – $80 per year

Location: Dublin, OH
