Job Title: Workday Payroll Integration Lead

We are seeking a skilled Workday Payroll Integration Lead to manage and oversee the end-to-end integration of payroll processes within Workday. This pivotal role involves designing, building, testing, and maintaining complex payroll integrations, ensuring strict adherence to internal policies and external regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Workday integrations, including Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs). A strong background in U.S. or global payroll systems is essential.

The Opportunity and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the comprehensive design, development, and deployment of Workday payroll integrations with third-party payroll vendors and internal systems.
  • Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert for Workday Payroll and its associated integrations.
  • Collaborate effectively with Payroll, HR, Finance, and IT teams to gather detailed requirements and translate them into scalable, robust technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain integrations utilizing Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, XSLT, and Workday Web Services.
  • Ensure all integrations comply with stringent data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support for payroll configuration, testing, and cutover activities during new implementations or system updates.
  • Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of critical payroll integration issues in production environments.
  • Offer technical leadership and mentorship to junior integration developers and analysts.
  • Document integration designs, configurations, and standard operating procedures thoroughly.
  • Monitor Workday’s semi-annual releases and assess their potential impact on existing payroll integrations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HRIS, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Workday HCM experience, with at least 3 years specifically focused on Workday Payroll Integrations and Functional Experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday Studio, Core Connectors (especially PECI/PICOF), EIB, XSLT, and Workday Web Services (WSDL, SOAP, REST).
  • Proven experience with U.S. and/or global payroll vendors (e.g., ADP, Ceridian, SAP, CloudPay).
  • Deep understanding of payroll processing, compliance, and taxation principles.
  • Experience working on full life-cycle Workday implementations or significant enhancement projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Salary: $130,000 – $170,000 per year (Estimated)
