Position Summary: Workday Technical Analyst I
Scalable Systems Inc is looking for a Workday Technical Analyst I with a focus on Security, Compliance, and Reporting. This is a remote-friendly position based out of Troy, MI. In the evolving landscape of 2026, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like Workday are the backbone of corporate operations. This role is designed for a technical professional who understands the intersection of system configuration, data security, and regulatory compliance. You will work within a dynamic team to ensure that our Workday environment is secure, efficient, and fully compliant with global standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute standard Workday integrations and configurations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Generate and analyze technical reports, gathering logs for deep-dive analysis and developing custom reports as required.
- Provide essential support for compliance and regulatory reporting, working closely with Internal Audit and Compliance teams.
- Reproduce technical issues in sandbox environments and create detailed technical cases for resolution.
- Ensure all technology configurations meet established technical targets and performance benchmarks.
- Recommend and implement improvements to technical SOPs, controls, tools, and operational metrics.
- Continuously expand knowledge across Workday technical areas, including Studio integrations, EIBs, Core Connectors, and Calculated Fields.
- Determine the most effective technical approach or integration pattern for various enterprise use cases.
- Participate in rigorous technical testing and ad hoc validation of system updates and new features.
- Translate complex technical results into digestible formats for stakeholders, including documentation and executive summaries.
- Evaluate processes for optimization, performance tuning, and automation within the development workflow.
Essential Skills and Experience
- At least 2 years of experience working with an ERP platform (Workday preferred; PeopleSoft, Lawson, or SAP acceptable).
- Proven track record of delivering successful projects at an enterprise level.
- Basic programming proficiency in at least one foundational language such as Java, Python, C#, or C++.
- Strong understanding of compliance-driven configuration, including SOX approval workflows and audit reporting.
- Knowledge of access and role-based security models, including domains and business process security policies.
- Experience handling sensitive data (PII) and designing secure integrations via APIs, EIBs, or Workday Studio.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC tools like Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO).
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Pro or Workday Partner Certification is highly preferred.
- Prior experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services, or government.
- Exceptional judgment in balancing short-term fixes with long-term architectural integrity.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Special Requirements
Remote, SOX compliance knowledge, Workday Pro/Partner certification preferred.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $115,000 – $165,000 per year (Estimated)
