Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate WorkDay Platform Engineers to join a dynamic team focused on developing highly-resilient, fundamentally-sound objects to support the core Finance technology driving Capital One. This role is integral to advancing Capital One’s Finance Technology ecosystem and culture of technical excellence, championing automation of functional and technical processes, and driving innovative solutions.
General Responsibilities:
- Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios.
- Understand and translate the priorities of the business while integrating Finance value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business.
- Deliver solutions in the Workday platform across the Finance modules of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments, and Suppliers through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards.
- Effectively communicate across teams, with Product Owners, and stakeholders, influencing solutions across business partners.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with Finance partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results.
- Continually research, test, and stay up-to-date on Workday Technology & Platform updates, fixes, and capabilities.
- Build & maintain thorough documentation for system implementation & maintenance.
- Serve as the primary contact for questions related to how the system works from both a business and technical perspective.
- Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- At least 4 years of Workday platform engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and developing integration solutions.
- At least 2 years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP.
- 5+ years of experience working with Workday platform across the Workday Finance modules (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments, and Suppliers).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing integration solutions in Workday.
- 3+ years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP.
- Workday Integration Developer certifications.
- 1+ years designing and developing solutions using Workday Extend.
- 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
