Job Description: Embedded System Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Embedded System Engineer with a strong background in IoT and Telematics domains. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the automotive embedded telematics sector, with at least 7 years of experience. This role requires expertise in system design, requirement engineering, software architecture development, and verification & validation (V&V). Proficiency in Embedded C programming and experience with tools like Visio Professional for creating diagrams are essential. Familiarity with iDFMEA, FTA/Fishbone, and other Six Sigma tools is also required. The engineer will work within the System V-Model and Agile processes, utilizing tools like JIRA or equivalent, and Postman for API debugging. Experience with electronic control architecture, including microprocessors and software, is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop embedded systems for automotive telematics applications.
- Create and manage system requirements and technical profiles.
- Develop software architecture and ensure its effective implementation.
- Conduct verification and validation (V&V) activities to ensure system quality.
- Write efficient and robust Embedded C code.
- Utilize Visio Professional for creating network, boundary, design, and architecture diagrams.
- Apply Six Sigma tools such as iDFMEA and FTA/Fishbone.
- Work within Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies using tools like JIRA.
- Debug APIs using Postman.
- Understand and work with electronic control architectures, microprocessors, and software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality embedded solutions.
- Ensure immediate joiner availability.
Unique Skills Required:
- Deep understanding of Software Defined Vehicles.
Common Technical Skills:
- Cloud interfaces and awareness of AWS IoT Services and Azure.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as J1939 and UDS.
- Awareness of legislations like EU7 OBM.
Common Soft Skills:
- Experience working as a Product Owner in Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments.
- Proven experience in handling cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
This is an onsite position located in Columbus, IN, requiring day one presence.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
