About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Powertrain Calibration Engineer to join our team. This role involves the design, development, and validation of control systems for critical vehicle powertrain components, including engines and transmissions. You will work extensively with industry-standard tools like Matlab Simulink to create and refine these systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, model, and test software components for automotive embedded products such as Engine Control Modules (ECM) and Traction Control systems.
- Develop models using MATLAB and generate code using TargetLink for embedded applications.
- Validate models through back-to-back testing, including Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) simulations.
- Ensure delivery according to defined Change Request and Configuration Management processes, adhering to ASPICE standards.
- Manage system integration, including CAN communication and subsystem diagnostic communication.
- Perform root cause analysis for program changes and coordinate with the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system integration and software development teams.
- Handle OEM calibration tools and processes effectively.
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and validating control systems for vehicle powertrain components (engines, transmissions) using Matlab Simulink.
- Strong understanding of control algorithms and calibration of engine parameters.
- Experience with system integration, including CAN communication and subsystem diagnostics.
- Expertise in Model development using Simulink/Stateflow.
- Proficiency in MATLAB model design for control applications.
- Experience in code generation using TargetLink.
- Experience with MIL/SIL testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with CAN, J1939, OBD, and UDS Protocols.
- Experience handling OEM calibration tools.
- AUTOSAR application development is a significant advantage.
Managerial Skills:
- Ability to manage program changes and coordinate effectively with team members.
- Support the team in performing thorough root cause analysis.
