Role Overview

The ETL Datastage Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise data integration workflows that support critical financial and insurance processes. This role requires strong expertise in IBM Datastage, a deep understanding of data management principles, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions. The developer will ensure reliable data movement across systems and contribute to data quality, governance, and operational excellence for insurance platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance ETL jobs using IBM Datastage to support data extraction, transformation, and loading across multiple insurance systems.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to build scalable data integration solutions aligned with enterprise data models.
  • Perform data profiling, validation, and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of insurance data, including policy, claims, billing, underwriting, and customer information.
  • Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and downstream application teams to ensure consistent data flows and alignment with reporting and analytics needs.
  • Optimize ETL workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability, while supporting both batch and real-time data movement.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for ETL failures, implement fixes, and ensure the smooth operation of production data pipelines.
  • Work closely with infrastructure and support teams to manage schedules, deployments, environment configurations, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Ensure ETL solutions comply with data governance, security, and regulatory standards required in the financial and insurance domain.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and maintain documentation for ETL designs, mappings, and operational procedures.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Hands-on experience with IBM Datastage, including parallel jobs, sequences, transformations, and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing principles, and enterprise data architecture.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL, along with strong SQL skills.
  • Knowledge of insurance domain data structures, such as policy, claims, billing, financial transactions, and customer servicing workflows.
  • Experience working in production support environments, monitoring jobs, addressing failures, and ensuring timely data delivery.
  • Familiarity with Unix or Linux scripting for automation and operational tasks.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery models and using version control tools.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience working in financial or insurance data environments is preferred.

Special Requirements

Max Rate: $46/Hr. on C2C. No CPT — PP Mandatory. Travel history will be fetched from our end.

Salary: $46 – $46 per year
