Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Lead/Senior Java AWS Developer with a strong background in modernizing legacy systems to AWS. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE and web technologies, with at least 5 years in a Tech Lead or Senior Developer role. This position requires deep expertise in AWS services, Spring Boot, Microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to the development of Java-based applications, focusing on AWS cloud environments.
  • Design, develop, and implement microservices using Spring Boot.
  • Leverage AWS services such as S3, EC2, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, Lambda, IAM, and Glue for building scalable and resilient applications.
  • Work with legacy systems and guide their modernization to AWS.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket.
  • Write efficient and maintainable SQL queries.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs effectively.
  • Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and system integration assessments to ensure high-quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development, testing, and production environments.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 15+ years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE/Web technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Developer.
  • Proven experience in modernizing legacy systems to AWS.
  • Proficiency in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services including S3, EC2, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, Lambda, IAM, and Glue.
  • Experience with JUnit and Cucumber for testing.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Maven, Jenkins, Git, SVN, Bitbucket, Bamboo).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience with REST API integration.
  • Expertise in code, design, and system integration reviews.
  • Knowledge of Python is a plus.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification is preferred.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
