Role: AI Engineer – GenAI (Amazon Bedrock / Agent Core & Data Engineering)
We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer with strong expertise in Generative AI, specifically leveraging Amazon Bedrock (including Agent Core) and robust data engineering capabilities. This role is crucial for designing and leading enterprise-grade GenAI solutions, ensuring a well-architected system that covers AI, data, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- GenAI & Architecture: Design and implement end-to-end GenAI architectures using Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore. Architect multi-agent workflows utilizing Bedrock Agents, tools, guardrails, and orchestration patterns. Design enterprise-grade architectures focusing on security, IAM, networking, observability, scalability, and cost optimization. Lead architecture decisions for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, knowledge bases, embeddings, and evaluation pipelines. Provide technical leadership through solution design, code reviews, and architectural governance.
- Data Engineering & AI Pipelines: Design and guide the implementation of data pipelines that support GenAI systems. Architect data ingestion flows using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, EventBridge, and Step Functions. Design vector data architectures using services like OpenSearch, DynamoDB, or similar. Ensure adherence to best practices in data modeling, data quality, metadata management, versioning of datasets, and governance/access control. Guide teams on ETL/ELT patterns and their integration with AI workflows.
- AWS Platform & Integration: Architect integrations using Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, IAM, S3, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, and CloudWatch. Design event-driven and microservices-based architectures. Conduct architecture reviews, technical workshops, and stakeholder design sessions. Act as a technical advisor to senior client stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock, including Bedrock Agents, Bedrock AgentCore, Knowledge Bases, Guardrails, and Tool orchestration.
- Strong understanding of GenAI design patterns such as RAG, agent orchestration, prompt engineering, and evaluation/monitoring.
- Solid experience with data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, ETL/ELT design, data lake architectures, schema design, and data governance.
- Strong AWS service experience across Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, Glue, Step Functions, EventBridge, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional or relevant AWS certifications.
- Experience with Python for full-stack applications.
- Experience with OpenSearch vector search or similar technologies.
- Exposure to MLOps concepts (monitoring, evaluation, lifecycle management).
