Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Project/Program Manager to oversee contract support operations. This role involves managing the planning, direction, and coordination of all contract activities, projects, and support functions, including those of subcontractors. The ideal candidate will be adept at organizing and directing complex projects, developing work breakdown structures, and ensuring effective communication and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform overall management for contract support operations.
- Organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and production of all contract activities, projects, and support activities, including those of subcontractors.
- Oversee the development of work breakdown structures, charts, tables, graphs, major milestone calendars, and diagrams to assist in analyzing problems and making recommendations.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Establish and alter corporate management structure to direct effective and efficient contract support activities.
- Be capable of negotiating and making binding decisions for the Master Contractor.
- Develop and implement appropriate procedures and reporting for implementation consistent with the overall program.
- Manage client relationships and expectations.
- Oversee vendor performance.
- Prepare work plans and status reports.
- Manage communication, coordination, and performance of other stakeholders as needed.
- Contribute to setting required project pace by defining corresponding project and individual responsibilities, objectives, tasks, schedules, and outputs.
- Directly contribute to and share responsibility for project performance by planning, monitoring, and adjusting project resources (people, budget, material, time).
- Manage project risks and issues: root cause analysis, implementation of corrective/preventive actions, compliance with PMI methodology, and continual process improvement efforts.
- Create and sustain a culture that encourages high performance of individuals and teams.
- Undertake any additional duties as assigned by their Manager.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related discipline.
- A Masters degree and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
General Experience:
- At least 12 years of experience in program or project management.
- A minimum of 2 years of healthcare project management experience.
- Strong leadership aptitude to foster a positive work environment that considers the dynamics of physical, social, psychological, and environmental factors.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build client rapport and develop/discipline/reward employees.
- Solid analytical skills and ability to make decisions and solve problems.
- Excellent time management abilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage work to a defined schedule.
- Experience conducting meetings, interviews, and making presentations.
- Experience in evaluating quality assurance/quality control testing and User Acceptance Testing efforts.
- Team player with a consistent, dependable performer with an excellent work ethic, flexible can-do attitude, and a results-driven commitment to success.
- Ability to apply industry best practices and future state/federal mandates to existing systems.
Specialized Experience:
- At least eight (8) years of experience in supervision or oversight of large IT or complex systems related programs or projects.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $180,000 per year (Estimated)
