Job Description:
Lead a team delivering AI related software projects while staying 50% -hands on- with architecture, planning, and Python development. This role combines technical leadership with project and people management. GenAI experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build backend services, APIs, and automation tools using Python on Azure (App Service, Storage, Azure SQL, Azure AI Foundry).
- Lead technical planning, solution design, and code quality practices (reviews, testing, CI/CD with Azure DevOps).
- Manage multiple AI-aligned software projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality.
- Mentor developers and guide technical decisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and run Agile/Scrum processes.
- Track delivery using Azure Board.
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on Python engineering background.
- Solid experience with Azure Cloud services and cloud-native development.
- Proven ability to lead developers and deliver complex projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices.
Nice to Have:
- Location: Hybrid/Midtown NYC
- Exposure to Gen AI tools (Azure OpenAI, LLM integrations).
- Azure or Agile certifications.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $180,000 per year (Estimated)
