Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Delivery Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery, governance, and reporting of multiple projects within the Investment Management Technology organization. This role requires a strong background in financial services, particularly in Investment Management or Alternative Investments, and proven experience in leading business and technology transformations in global financial institutions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery, governance, and reporting of multiple projects in the Investment Management Technology organization.
- Interact with business partners and cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are achieved on time and within budget.
- Establish a standardized and streamlined end-to-end process and data management around Fund/Product Launches for marketing and extend it to the cross MSIM platform for fund lifecycle.
- Lead business and technology transformation in global financial institutions.
- Manage project plans, identify, track, and address dependencies, resolve constraints and resource conflicts, assess impacts to the plan, obtain estimates to complete, forecast use of funds, ensure adherence to SDLC, and report progress against the plan.
- Engage with client-facing roles, handle multiple stakeholders, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Lead and manage organizational change, identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Establish and maintain a RACI governance model, identifying stakeholder accountability across projects and workstreams.
- Establish, maintain, and report on business outcomes, leveraging OKRs and KPIs.
- Develop and execute project communication plans, facilitate team meetings, and participate in key meetings impacting the project.
- Keep project stakeholders informed and prepare for and conduct executive steering committee meetings.
- Gather content from respective project team members to complete interim and final deliverables.
- Present deliverables required at respective tollgates throughout the project lifecycle and obtain sign-off and approvals from stakeholders.
- Maintain the project team repository of deliverables, reference materials, and documentation.
- Prepare change requests as agreed to by the project team and obtain signatures from the project owner and sponsor.
- Escalate issues to executive steering committee members while proactively establishing solution options with storytelling around the preferred option, facilitating decision-making, documenting decisions, and communicating direction to the project team.
- Prepare weekly status reports, track open issues, update risks (probability, severity, and impact), and mitigation plans.
- Participate in PMO meetings with other Project Managers to identify potential dependencies or constraints.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project skills to provide effective reporting and documentation, including dashboards and scorecards.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in a business and technology-relevant field.
- 8+ years of experience leading business and technology transformation in global financial institutions.
- Expertise in Investment Management and/or Alternative Investments (client types, products, lifecycle, processes, systems) is preferred.
- Experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile project work.
- Demonstrated understanding of the drivers of performance and decision-making to maximize results.
- Strategic thinker with a proven ability to operationalize strategy and problem-solve.
- Hands-on expertise with data dictionary, data lineage, and data governance is a plus.
- Project Management certification is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are required to influence a wide range of audiences.
- Demonstrated success in establishing complex solution options, communicating preferred solutions through storytelling, influencing, and negotiation with team members, stakeholders, and senior management, leveraging qualitative and quantitative data points, and driving successful end-to-end solution delivery.
- Strong project management skills with experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale business and technology transformation efforts in global financial institutions from vision to implementation.
- Ability to plan, conduct, and manage the analysis of complex problems, monitor and report trends, and describe complex problems and their solutions to management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, leveraging active listening, presentation, negotiation, and influencing expertise.
- Highly motivated and self-directed; exhibits thought leadership and strong critical thinking skills.
- Proven attention to detail in driving management reporting with clear and concise quantitative and qualitative data analysis and presentation.
- Superior planning & organization skills, proactive, and a team player.
- Ability to multitask and work across various groups in a global, dynamic environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, or other reporting and project management tools.
- Must have BFS background; prior investment backing or trading background experience is preferred.
Special Requirements
Onsite (Preferred Locals or Nearby only), Banking background, Investment backing or trading background experience preferred.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $90 – $130 per year (Estimated)
