Role Overview
Intellect Tech Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and certified Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer for a long-term remote engagement. This position is strictly W2 and requires a professional with 8 to 10 years of experience in the insurance technology sector. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Guidewire ACE Certification in PolicyCenter Configuration and have a proven track record of working within Guidewire Cloud environments. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, and integration of complex insurance solutions, ensuring that the PolicyCenter application aligns with business requirements and technical standards. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud-native insurance platforms while collaborating with a diverse team of experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the configuration and development of Guidewire PolicyCenter modules, focusing on high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
- Utilize SBTs (System Business Templates) to streamline configuration processes and ensure consistency across the application.
- Manage the integration between Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter (BC), ensuring seamless data flow and functional synergy.
- Develop and maintain integration mechanisms within the Guidewire Cloud, including Integration Gateway Apps, Cloud APIs, App Events, GwS3, and GwSQS.
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from initial requirement gathering and analysis to implementation and post-production support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design SQL queries and manage database performance tuning.
- Oversee code commits and deployments using tools such as TortoiseSVN, GitHub, and Jenkins within a CI/CD pipeline.
- Handle defect management and project tracking using JIRA and Microsoft AzureDevOps.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on complex debugging tasks and architectural decisions.
- Ensure that all developments meet the rigorous quality standards of the Property & Casualty insurance industry.
Technical Requirements
- 8-10 years of professional experience in software development, specifically within the Guidewire ecosystem.
- Mandatory Guidewire ACE Certification in PolicyCenter Configuration (Cloud certification preferred).
- Extensive expertise in PC Configuration and a deep understanding of OOTB (Out-of-the-Box) features for PolicyCenter and BillingCenter.
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud integration tools and methodologies.
- Proficiency in SOAP/RESTful web services, XML, XSD, and plugin development.
- Strong background in Agile methodologies and release management.
- Experience with Insurance Application Architecture (IAA) models.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Special Requirements

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
