Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Engineer for a critical onsite role in Greenwood Village, Denver, CO. This position is a 3-month Contract-to-Hire (C2H) engagement designed for a professional who excels in the administration, maintenance, and ongoing support of shared cloud environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, configuring, and tuning automation for cloud lifecycles, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement. You will act as a bridge between customer needs and technical infrastructure, optimizing performance and configuration across diverse customer cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive administration and maintenance for shared cloud environments.
- Implement and tune automation scripts to enhance cloud lifecycle management and operational efficiency.
- Support the web interface utilized by customers to access and manage their cloud resources.
- Evaluate, develop, and optimize customer-specific cloud environments for maximum performance.
- Establish and maintain proficiency in emerging technologies through proactive self-study and on-the-job training.
- Escalate technical issues and defects to development, network, or engineering teams, following through until full resolution.
- Provide routine and transparent communication to customers regarding progress, status updates, and root cause analysis.
- Troubleshoot complex DNS, IP, and firewall issues within the cloud ecosystem.
- Collaborate with architects to reproduce and resolve intricate customer-facing technical challenges.
- Adhere to industry standards including ITIL, TOGAF, and PMP methodologies.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
- 4 to 7 years of professional experience in cloud engineering or systems administration.
- Strong understanding of all virtualization types and deep knowledge of OS and database administration.
- Solid networking experience with a focus on troubleshooting UNIX systems and automation.
- Expertise in designing and operating medium to large-scale enterprise cloud infrastructures.
- Passion for cloud software, tooling, and automation with comfort in command-line tools and scripting.
- Proficiency in integration scripting technologies and a solid understanding of APIs.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and current industry trends.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Knowledge of scripting languages including Python, Bash, or PowerShell for task automation.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols and the OSI Model.
- Expertise in using ticketing systems and software design tools like LucidChart or Visio.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and master new technologies rapidly.
Communication and Environment
Candidates must possess the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently to facilitate clear communication with stakeholders and team members. This role requires a collaborative mindset, working effectively within a team environment to meet project milestones and maintain high service levels. The position is onsite in the Denver area, and while relocation is acceptable, preference will be given to candidates currently residing near Colorado.

Visa: Any Visa (No CPT/OPT/H1B). Interview Mode: Video. Duration: 3 Months C2H. Relocation: Acceptable (near CO preferred).
Compensation & Location
Salary: $135,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)
